The first Shanghai Sports Festival opened at Xujiahui Park on September 19, with Adidas as chief sponsor. Held in venues along the West Bund and Xujiahui Park, the program included running, football, and basketball activities. At Xujiahui Park, Adidas staged basketball matches.
