L’Occitane marked the third year of its “Gift in the Palm” initiative by donating 24,600 hand creams to female couriers September 9. The partnership with Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation and local industry associations also established care stations in major commercial districts. While focused on women riders, male couriers received provisions including energy drinks. Shanghai employs nearly 25,000 female couriers. Several riders shared personal stories at the donation ceremony, later featured in a documentary produced by L’Occitane. Launched in 2020, the program previously supported healthcare workers and rural teachers.
