Coty sees profit drop 56% despite fragrance growth
Coty’s Q4 net revenue fell 8% to $1.25 billion, with operating profit plunging 55% to $15.5 million. For the full fiscal year, net revenue declined 4% to $5.89 billion while operating profit dropped 56% to $241.1 million. The prestige beauty division generated $3.820 billion, down 1% YoY and representing 65% of sales. CEO Sue Nabi noted resilient fragrance demand, with consumers gravitating toward “treatonomics” — affordable luxuries. Ultra-prestige fragrances grew 9%, prestige fragrances 2%, and mass fragrances 8% in fiscal 2025. For fiscal 2026, Coty forecasts comparable sales will decline 6-8% in Q1 due to macroeconomic uncertainty.
