JD.com posts fastest revenue growth in over three years
JD.com reported its fastest revenue growth in more than three years in Q2, with sales rising 22.4% YoY to 356.7 billion RMB ($49.8 billion), beating analyst expectations. Adjusted earnings were 4.15 RMB (58 cents) per ADS, down 49% from a year earlier but ahead of forecasts. The company credited gains in user traffic, active customers, and order frequency, driven by core retail operations and food delivery expansion. Government subsidies to boost consumer spending also supported sales. Despite strong results, U.S.-listed JD.com shares fell over 2% to $31.67 on Thursday.
