China Duty Free Group reported a 9.96% YoY drop in revenue to 28.15 billion RMB ($3.92 billion) and a 20.81% fall in net profit to 2.6 billion RMB ($362 million) for H1 2025, according to preliminary results. The company noted stabilizing duty-free sales in Hainan and a nearly one-point increase in local market share. Inventory turnover also improved by 10% YoY. Despite this, the firm’s overall earnings remain under pressure, continuing the downward trend seen in 2024 when annual revenue fell 16.38% and net profit dropped 36.44%.
