LVMH-owned DFS Group has announced it will close its Tsim Sha Tsui East duty-free store in Hong Kong at the end of next month, following a strategic review of its global retail network. After the closure, DFS will retain only two locations in the city: its flagship store on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and a beauty-focused boutique in Causeway Bay.

The decision is part of the company’s ongoing global retail optimization strategy, which has included several closures in 2025, such as its store at San Francisco Airport. DFS stated that approximately 50 employees affected by the Hong Kong closure will be offered internal redeployment opportunities. The company also emphasized that customer rights and services will remain unaffected.
