BMW sales rise 0.4% in Q2 despite China decline

On July 10, BMW Group reported global sales of 621,271 vehicles in Q2 2025, a YoY increase of 0.4%. Strong demand in Europe offset a decline in the Chinese market. BMW brand sales dropped 2.6% to 550,693 units, while Mini surged 33.1% to 69,163 units. Deliveries of hybrid and fully electric models rose by 10%. Regionally, BMW and Mini sales in Europe increased by 10.1%, and by 1.4% in the U.S. In contrast, sales in China fell 13.7% YoY. BMW’s performance reflects a broader trend among German automakers, whose market share in China is under growing pressure from domestic brands like BYD.
