Nissan will begin exporting electric vehicles from its China factories to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other markets in 2026, aiming to leverage its overseas service network for competitive advantage, Nikkei reports. One key export model is the N7, a mid-sized EV developed by Nissan’s China joint venture and produced in Guangzhou. Launched in April with a starting price of 119,900 RMB ($16,500), the N7 uses Chinese AI software, which will be modified to meet export regulations. Nissan has invested in local EV developer IAT to aid software adaptation. To support exports, Nissan and Dongfeng Motor have set up a joint venture with 1 billion RMB ($138 million) in capital.
