South Korea becomes world’s No. 2 cosmetics exporter
South Korea exported $3.61 billion worth of cosmetics between January and April 2025, surpassing the U.S. ($3.57 billion) to become the world’s second-largest cosmetics exporter after France, according to the latest data from the Korea International Trade Association. This follows a strong performance in 2024, when South Korea’s cosmetics exports reached $10.3 billion, up 20.3% YoY, overtaking Germany to rank third globally. That growth rate far outpaced France (6.3%) and the U.S. (1.1%).
