Shanghai Legoland opens as world’s largest theme park

Shanghai Legoland officially opened on July 5 in the city’s Jinshan District, marking both China’s first Legoland and the largest such park globally. Spanning 318,000 sqm, the park features eight themed zones, 75 interactive attractions, and models built with 85 million Lego bricks. It targets families with children aged two to 12, and includes two globally debuting zones: Lego Creative World and Lego Monkie Kid. The resort includes a theme park and themed hotel and targets 2.4 million visitors annually. All in-park dining is offered at half price throughout July and August.
