Michael Rider debuts at Celine with Spring 2026 collection

French luxury brand Celine presented its Spring 2026 collection during Paris Fashion Week, marking new creative director Michael Rider’s debut. Held in the rain-soaked courtyard of Celine headquarters, the show featured models walking across limestone floors to The Cure’s soundtrack. A key visual element was the ivory and black silk scarf, serving both as invitation and recurring accessory worn by guests in various styles. Rider’s designs referenced Celine’s past under both Hedi Slimane and Phoebe Philo, while introducing collegiate influences from his time at Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation. The collection ranged from everyday wear to evening looks, including sharp-shouldered jackets, slim coats, 1980s-inspired balloon trousers, and wrestling boots.
