L’Oréal denies Hong Kong workforce cuts
L’Oréal China responded on July 2 to reports claiming that the company planned to cut up to 90% of its workforce in Hong Kong, calling the information inaccurate. The company stated it is continuously adjusting its global and local organizational structures to align with evolving market conditions and consumer demands. As part of this process, L’Oréal is restructuring to enhance coordination between its Hong Kong and mainland China operations. The new model is intended to integrate Hong Kong’s retail expertise with mainland China’s strengths in digital and e-commerce, in order to better serve both markets.
