L’Oréal buys Color Wow after Medik8 acquisition
L’Oréal Group has signed a deal to acquire Color Wow, a fast-growing professional haircare brand, marking its second acquisition this month after Medik8. Financial terms were not disclosed. Color Wow will join L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division, which already includes brands like Kérastase and Redken. Founded in 2013 by Gail Federici, Color Wow is known for bestsellers like Dream Coat and XL Bombshell Volumizer, and has won over 130 beauty awards. With products priced between $24 and $46, the brand combines salon-grade results with accessible pricing across salons, retail, and e-commerce channels.
