Young Chinese men are emerging as a key growth driver in the country’s aesthetic medicine industry. Increasingly, they are turning to non-invasive treatments, such as skin boosters, wrinkle reduction injections, and deep cleansing procedures, to improve their appearance in response to rising dating and workplace pressures. According to a leading clinic, male customers accounted for 7.3% of visits in May 2024, up from 4.9% at the beginning of 2023. Platforms like Xiaohongshu (also known as RedNote) and Douyin have played a major role in raising awareness among men. Industry experts project that male consumers will account for 20% to 30% of the market by 2030.
