Rémy Cointreau drops 2030 growth target on US woes

French cognac maker Rémy Cointreau announced it dropped its 2030 sales growth target, citing continued weakness in U.S. demand, trade tariffs, and rising uncertainty. The maker of Rémy Martin cognac and Cointreau liqueur reported a 30.5% drop in full-year organic operating profit. The company said conditions required to meet its 2029–2030 goals “no longer exist.” It warned that in a worst-case scenario, operating profit for fiscal year 2025/26 could fall by more than 10 percentage points. The group acknowledged anticipated mid-single-digit sales growth for 2025/26 will largely reflect the low comparison base following a sharp decline in 2024/25.
