Hermès to raise US prices following new import tariffs

Hermès announced it will increase prices in the U.S. starting May 1, 2025, in response to new tariffs imposed by the U.S. government on all imported goods from April 5. The price adjustment will apply only to the U.S. market. Eric du Halgouët, Executive Vice President of Finance, stated that while the final tariff rate remains uncertain, the company is assessing the impact and may revise prices further if necessary. Hermès reported a 7% YoY increase in Q1 2025 sales at constant exchange rates, slightly below analyst expectations of 8%. Sales growth in established markets such as the U.S., Europe, and Japan was driven by volume increases and strong customer loyalty.
