Jean Paul Gaultier names Duran Lantink as creative director
Jean Paul Gaultier has appointed Dutch designer Duran Lantink as creative director, ending the brand’s rotating designer model. Lantink will lead both couture and ready-to-wear lines, marking the label’s return to Paris’ ready-to-wear calendar after a decade. The Dutch designer gained recognition with his 2018 “vagina pants” for Janelle Monáe and recently won the LVMH Prize’s Karl Lagerfeld Award. Gaultier called him “the new enfant terrible of fashion.” Lantink’s first collections will debut in September 2025 and January 2026.
