Chinese e-commerce platforms launch support for export firms

In response to mounting global trade tensions and shifting tariff policies, leading Chinese retailers and e-commerce platforms have announced a series of initiatives intended to help export-oriented enterprises transition to the domestic market. On April 12, Baidu unveiled a plan to support one million exporters through AI-powered livestreaming tools and platform traffic allocation, alongside operational subsidies and training resources. JD.com announced a 200 billion RMB ($27.4 billion) purchasing initiative to source export-to-domestic products over the next year, focusing on easing market entry and strengthening supply chains.
