H World leads Chinese hospitality with 9.2% revenue growth
China’s top three hotel groups — H World, BTG, and Jinjiang — have released their 2024 financial results, highlighting diverging growth paths and strategic priorities. H World led in revenue with 23.9 billion RMB ($3.27 billion), up 9.2% YoY, while BTG saw a slight dip of 0.54%, and Jinjiang reported a 4% decline. Operational efficiency remains a challenge for all three, with RevPAR optimization hindered by stiff market competition. BTG is focusing on lower-tier markets and midscale brand optimization, H World is pursuing aggressive expansion and digital upgrades, and Jinjiang is refining its global strategy and exploring new business models such as long-term rentals.
