Swiss watchmaker Breitling has announced the acquisition of Gallet, a historic brand founded in 1826. This is Breitling’s second major acquisition following Universal Genève in 2003. Now positioned as a more accessible “sister brand,” Gallet traces its origins back to 1466. Breitling CEO Georges Kern stated that the acquisition aims to revive Gallet while maintaining its focus on chronograph innovation.
