Shanghai cruise terminal welcomes record 4,800 foreign tourists
The Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal welcomed a record 4,800 foreign tourists on Sunday, marking its highest single-day arrival since opening in 2011. The milestone was driven by the arrival of two large cruise ships: Aidastella from Aida Cruises, which made its maiden call at the terminal carrying 2,200 tourists mainly from Germany and Poland, and Spectrum of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International with 2,600 passengers. Tourists visited Shanghai landmarks and nearby cities like Suzhou. Shanghai is expanding its cruise tourism offerings, with upcoming visits from Mein Schiff 6 in April and the return of Costa Serena in June.
