L’Oréal CEO ‘not overly concerned’ about US tariff impacts
Global beauty giant L’Oréal’s CEO Nicolas Hieronimus said yesterday that the company can avoid the most severe impacts of the U.S. tariff dispute, though some product prices may increase, potentially impacting consumers. In an interview, Hieronimus emphasized that he is “not overly concerned” about the White House tariffs’ direct impact on L’Oréal’s business, as most of the group’s products are manufactured and sold domestically within the United States. However, certain luxury products under L’Oréal, such as perfumes, still rely on exports from Europe to the U.S., which may face potential tariff risks. Despite this, industry analysts believe that if tariff policies tighten, luxury beauty product prices may rise, potentially affecting consumer purchasing power.
