China’s cultural and tourism sectors experienced significant growth in 2024, according to Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli. Domestic tourism recorded over 5.6 billion trips, marking a YoY increase of nearly 15%, with total spending exceeding 5.7 trillion RMB ($790 billion), up more than 17%. Inbound tourism saw 132 million visits, generating close to $100 billion in spending.
