Tesla China sales plunge 49% YoY as BYD surges 161%

According to Bloomberg and the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla’s wholesale sales in China dropped 49% YoY in February, with only 30,688 units sold, the lowest in two and a half years. This decline follows a significant decrease from 63,238 units in January, contrasting sharply with local rival BYD (Build Your Dreams), which saw a 161% YoY increase, selling over 318,000 electric and hybrid vehicles during the same period.
