Chanel wins $4M in trademark suit against WGACA
A US federal court ruled in favor of Chanel in its trademark infringement case against luxury reseller What Goes Around Comes Around (WGACA), concluding a seven-year legal battle. The court awarded Chanel $4 million in damages and issued a permanent injunction barring WGACA from using Chanel’s trademarks, selling unauthorized or altered products, and misleading consumers about an affiliation. Chanel first sued WGACA in 2018, alleging unauthorized trademark use and counterfeit sales. A jury found WGACA guilty in February 2024. WGACA co-founder Seth Weisser stated the company is considering an appeal.
