China imposes new tariffs on US goods starting March 10
In response to U.S. tariffs, China announced on March 4 that starting March 10, it would impose tariffs on U.S. goods, including 15% on chicken, wheat, and cotton, and 10% on soybeans and pork. China’s Ministry of Commerce also added 15 U.S. entities to its export control list and 11 American companies to the unreliable entity list. The U.S. Trade Representative suggested Congress terminate China’s Permanent Normal Trade Relations status, citing China's failure to meet Phase 1 trade deal commitments.
