Airbnb China has released its 2025 Spring Outbound Travel Trends Report, highlighting a significant surge in outbound travel during the upcoming Qingming (Tomb-Sweeping Day) holiday, which this year falls on April 4. Travel demand nearly doubled compared to last year, with Japan, Thailand, South Korea, the U.S., New Zealand, France, Italy, Australia, Germany, and Malaysia ranking among the top ten sought-after destinations for the holiday. Japan, boosted by cherry blossom season, remains the dominant destination, with search volume nearly five times that of the second-place contender. Despite the absence of a long spring holiday, Chinese travelers continue to show strong interest in international travel, with European destinations seeing a notable rise in popularity.
