Chinese Tesla owners may soon access Full Self-Driving for $8,800
Tesla is preparing to update its software in mainland China and deploy the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, according to a Bloomberg report. The service is expected to be sold as a software package priced at 64,000 RMB ($8,800). Initially, Tesla plans to offer it to a small group of consumers, with subsequent phased rollouts. The feature is designed to autonomously guide the vehicle through intersections and on ramps, recognize traffic lights, perform turns, and adjust speed. However, Tesla has not yet received regulatory approval for autonomous driving in mainland China. Reports suggest that Tesla may obtain approval in the second quarter of this year, but there is no confirmed timeline.
