Hong Kong Disneyland posts 1st profit in decade

On February 25, Hong Kong Disneyland announced a record net profit of HK$838 million ($107 million) for fiscal year 2024, its first profit in 10 years. Revenue rose 54% to HK$8.8 billion ($1.12 billion), with attendance reaching 7.7 million, driven by mainland Chinese and Southeast Asian visitors. This follows eased entry controls and resumed cross-border travel. After opening the world’s first Frozen-themed area in 2023, Hong Kong Disneyland plans further expansion with Pixar and Marvel projects beginning in 2025.
