According to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, Prada is working with advisers to evaluate Versace and consider a potential bid for the Italian fashion brand owned by Capri Holdings. Against the backdrop of a recent slowdown in the luxury goods industry, the Milan-based Prada has rarely stood out. The sources said Prada has signed an exclusive agreement and, after receiving the latest financial and sales data for Versace, began a comprehensive review of the brand. While Prada is assessing the possibility of a bid, the review may not lead to a formal offer. As of now, Prada has declined to comment, and Capri has not responded.
