Ford Motor Company today announced that its current Vice President and President and CEO of Ford China, Wu Shengbo, will take on additional responsibilities as the head of Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG). Jeff Marentic, the head of the IMG, will report directly to Wu, who joined Ford China in October 2022 as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President and CEO of Ford China in March last year, shortly after launching a new business strategy for Ford China. Following the rollout of this new strategy, Ford China turned profitable in Q3 2023 and achieved profitability for six consecutive quarters, resulting in its first full-year profit in seven years in 2024. Last year, Ford China’s exports reached nearly 170,000 units, representing a YoY growth of over 60%.
