Top Estée Lauder exec departs after 16 years
Estée Lauder announced that its International President, Peter Jueptner, will step down on April 1 and officially leave the company on June 30, concluding his 16-year career at the group. Jueptner joined Estée Lauder in 2009 as senior vice president, overseeing strategy, new business development, and transformation projects. He was promoted to president of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in 2016 and became international president in 2022. During his tenure, he was praised for his commitment to talent development and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. However, the group has faced pressure from the weak performance of the high-end beauty market in China, with overall performance struggling and its stock price plummeting 50% over the past year.
