Dior to debut Pre-Fall 2025 collection in Kyoto
After showcasing in Seoul, Mumbai, and New York, Dior’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection will debut in Japan this year. The womenswear collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, will be presented on April 15 at the Tō-ji Temple Garden in Kyoto. Christian Dior, the brand’s founder, first introduced his collection to Japan in 1953. Chiuri said in a statement that Dior collaborated with a Kyoto-based silk studio, which in the early 1950s designed a collection of haute couture garments made from Japan’s precious silk. She added that Kyoto, as the birthplace of craftsmanship, will provide a unique creative backdrop for the upcoming Fall 2025 collection. Notably, the launch of this Pre-Fall collection comes at a critical moment amid management and creative changes within the LVMH Group.
