CDFG secures duty-free shop contracts in Chengdu, Tianjin
China Duty Free Group (CDFG) has secured new contracts for duty-free stores in Chengdu and Tianjin, following previous wins in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, and Fuzhou. This expansion aligns with China’s policy to boost consumption by establishing one duty-free shop in each of the eight major cities, including Chengdu and Tianjin. CDFG has selected prime locations for both stores: Yanlord Landmark in Chengdu’s CBD and Yanlord Isetan in Tianjin’s historic Old Town district. These strategic sites aim to capitalize on the cities’ economic, cultural, and commercial significance. CDFG plans to implement a hybrid retail model, offering both duty-free and duty-paid goods, along with a blend of offline and online experiences. The company will also collaborate with local state-owned enterprises in Chengdu.
