On January 17, BYD announced the launch of its fully electric SUV, the ATTO 3, in South Korea, marking the company’s official entry into the Korean market. Zhao In-cheol, a representative from BYD Korea’s passenger car division, revealed that the ATTO 3 is now available for pre-order, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-February. The base model is priced at 31.5 million KRW ($21,600), while the upgraded ATTO 3 PLUS is priced at 33.3 million KRW ($22,600). BYD also plans to launch the compact electric passenger car, the Seagull, and the electric SUV “SEALION 7” in South Korea later this year, with an expected release in early the second half of 2025, though the exact timing is yet to be confirmed.
