On January 13, Audi reported 2024 sales of 1.67 million vehicles, marking an 11.8% YoY decline. This includes an 8% drop in battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales, totaling 164,000 units. Sales in Germany fell 21% to 198,000 units, with BEVs down 33% to 22,000. In the UK, sales dropped 11% to 123,000, while China saw a similar decline of 11%, with over 649,000 units sold. In North America, BEV sales totaled 247,710 units, a 13% decrease. Emerging markets also recorded a decline of 18%, totaling 116,462 units. Despite falling short of expectations, Tesla’s 2024 sales surpassed Audi’s for the first time, reaching 1.79 million vehicles.
