As the Lunar Year of the Snake approaches, Nike today launched its “Serpent Spirit Welcoming the New Year” collection. The range takes inspiration from the snake’s sinuous and agile nature, incorporating symbols such as the “spirited snake pattern,” “Yi Si,” “spring,” and “copper coins,” which are associated with the positive traditions of the Chinese New Year. The collection includes items for men, women, and children, covering categories such as lifestyle, basketball, and running. Nike has also created special outfits for athletes to showcase the collection, with tennis player Zheng Qinwen wearing a Nike “Serpent Spirit” patchwork faux fur jacket and a pair of women’s Nike Dunk Low sneakers, featuring retro design and New Year-themed laces.
