LVMH acquires stake in French boutique hotel group
Global luxury giant LVMH partnered with Geneva-based investment fund Anaïs Ventures to acquire a 20% equity stake in the French boutique hotel group Les Domaines de Fontenille on December 12. Upon completion of the transaction, LVMH Group will become the largest shareholder of the hotel group. Founded in 2016 by former fashion executive Frédéric Biousse and art dealer Guillaume Foucher, Les Domaines de Fontenille currently operates 12 hotels across France, Spain, and Italy, with peak season room rates ranging from $410 to $1,000 per night. The group is preparing to launch a new hotel project in Brittany, France, slated to open in spring 2025, and is planning a luxury hotel in Aix-en-Provence for 2026.
