Italian concept store 10 Corso Como eyes Asia expansion

Gianluca Borghi, CEO of Italian boutique 10 Corso Como, announced plans to open five to six self-operated stores worldwide within the next four to five years. The first of these new stores will be located in a key Asian region next year and will be on par in size with the Milan flagship store. However, there has been no indication that 10 Corso Como plans to return to the Chinese market. In addition to the Milan flagship, the brand operates two stores in Seoul and has shop-in-shops at Lodenfrey in Munich and Printemps in Paris. Founded in 1991 by gallery founder and publisher Carla Sozzani, 10 Corso Como faced heavy debt due to over-expansion and poor management. The brand closed its Beijing SKP store in 2017 and its Shanghai location in May 2019, following the expiration of its lease and partnership agreements with its Chinese partner, Trendy Group.
