Swedish minimalist designer brand Filippa K has announced that its Tmall flagship store will suspend operations starting December 20, 2024, at 11:59pm. No new orders will be accepted after that time, although all orders placed prior will be processed as usual. This development marks a setback for the brand in the Chinese market. Founded in 1993, Filippa K is known for its clean, minimalist, and timeless designs, focusing on high-quality, comfortable fabrics to create practical and durable fashion pieces. The brand entered the Chinese market in early 2022, launching its Tmall flagship store on August 19 of the same year. Currently, over 90% of Filippa K’s sales come from Europe, 1% from the US, and the remainder from other global markets. According to its official website, Filippa K operates more than 21 offline stores worldwide.
