Chinese hotel giant H World Group posts Q3 revenue decline
H World Group reported a 2.4% YoY revenue increase to 6.4 billion RMB ($918 million) for Q3 2024, within its forecasted 2% to 5% growth range. Net income attributable to the company remained stable at 1.3 billion RMB ($181 million), matching the previous year’s figure. The average daily rate (ADR) for Legacy-Huazhu hotels declined to 301 RMB, while the occupancy rate was 84.9%, down from 85.9% in Q3 2023. RevPAR (revenue per available room) dropped by 7.9% to 256 RMB. For hotels in operation for over 18 months, same-hotel RevPAR fell by 10.3%, driven by a 8.4% decrease in ADR and a 1.8 percentage-point drop in occupancy.
