Bonhams, the London-based auction house, has opened its Asian headquarters at One Pacific Place in Hong Kong, a new office building developed by Swire Properties. The facility spans over 1,765 sqm across three floors and includes gallery space and a permanent sales room. Bonhams’ upcoming fall auction series will be held at the new location, featuring rare Ming Dynasty furniture, works by renowned Chinese painter Zhang Daqian, and collectible Birkin bags. The opening follows recent upgrades to Hong Kong properties by other major auction houses, including Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and Phillips, highlighting Hong Kong’s continued importance in the Asian auction market despite broader economic challenges.
