LVMH shakes up top roles amid wine sector challenges
LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault announced high-level executive appointments last week. His son, Alexandre Arnault, will move to the Wines and Spirits division as Vice CEO; Jean-Jacques Guiony will succeed Philippe Schaus as President and CEO of Moët Hennessy; and Charles Delapalme will leave his position as General Manager of Christian Dior Couture to become President and CEO of Moët Hennessy. These personnel changes highlight challenges in LVMH’s Wines and Spirits division, which saw an 11% revenue decline in the first nine months of 2024, making it the worst-performing sector among the group’s five key divisions.
