Desigual debuts Shanghai flagship, eyes China expansion

Spanish fashion brand Desigual has launched its first flagship store in Shanghai, marking a significant move into mainland China. Located in the Lady Fashion Mall and spanning over 230 sqm, the store showcases the full range of the Spanish brand’s women’s apparel and accessories, featuring a design inspired by Modernism and Antoni Gaudí. This opening is part of Desigual’s strategy to expand in Asia and strengthen its presence in key markets, aiming for 40 million euros ($42.5 million) in revenue by 2027 through a joint venture with local partner E-Shine. The brand plans to open up to 60 standalone stores in major Chinese cities beyond Shanghai and Beijing.
