BYD yesterday announced its Q3 financial results, reporting a revenue of 502.25 billion RMB ($68.39 billion) for the first three quarters, an 18.94% YoY increase, and a net profit of 25.24 billion RMB ($3.44 billion), up 18.12%. In Q3 alone, the company achieved a revenue of 201.13 billion RMB ($27.61 billion), growing 24.04% YoY, and a net profit of 11.61 billion RMB ($1.59 billion), an 11.47% increase. With its quarterly revenue surpassing 200 billion RMB, BYD has also exceeded Tesla’s Q3 revenue of approximately 180 billion RMB ($24.79 billion). In terms of new vehicle sales, BYD sold 2.75 million new energy vehicles in the first nine months, a 32.13% increase, and approximately 1.13 million in Q3, exceeding market expectations.
