Preliminary estimates released October 18 show that China’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the first three quarters reached RMB 94.9 trillion (approximately $13.16 trillion), a YoY increase of 4.8% at constant prices. Specifically, GDP growth was 5.3% in Q1, 4.7% in Q2, and 4.6% in Q3. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP grew by 0.9% in the third quarter.
