Chanel backs Chinese art showcase at Centre Pompidou

The group exhibition “China: A New Generation of Artists” opened to the public at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, on October 9 in collaboration with the West Bund Museum and with support from Chanel. The exhibition features new works by Chinese artists born between the late 1970s and early 1990s. As part of the collaboration, 21 works by 15 emerging Chinese artists, including seven women, will be added to the Centre Pompidou’s permanent collection. These acquisitions complement the museum’s existing collection of around 150 Chinese contemporary artworks, furthering its long-standing focus on Chinese art.
