BYD expands in Germany
BYD Executive Vice President Li Ke yesterday told a media title that the automaker is expanding its sales team in Germany and plans to significantly increase its sales in the country within the next six months, ultimately aiming to become a key player in the European market. While she declined to discuss specific sales targets, she mentioned that BYD will launch products in Germany priced between 25,000 euros and 30,000 euros ($27,253 and $32,704). Regarding the EU’s anti-subsidy tariffs, which are almost in place, she expressed the view that European carmakers lack consistency in their electric vehicles, making them uncompetitive, and that they are trying to exclude healthy competition.
