Hong Kong sees 35% YoY rise in mainland visitors

As of October 5, 980,000 mainland visitors had entered Hong Kong during the National Day Golden Week starting on October 1, an increase of 35% YoY. On October 1 alone, over 221,000 mainland visitors entered. Hong Kong’s immigration department said that all entry points operated smoothly during this period, with the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau checkpoints being the busiest.
