Japanese streetwear brand Roarguns has opened its first store in China at Shanghai’s Xinye Taikoo Hui, founded by designer Saburo Hamanaka in 2002. Known for its darkly luxurious style, Roarguns promotes a philosophy of “love and peace.” This new location marks the start of its expansion, with plans afoot for another store in Beijing’s Sanlitun Taikoo Li. To mark its debut, Roarguns will launch city-special edition custom T-shirts in Shanghai and Beijing, featuring actor Kenichi Yamamoto. The brand primarily uses IT’s sales channels for online sales and has not yet tapped into major e-commerce platforms like Taobao and Douyin, which may be due to limitations in its operational team and the challenges of managing inventory for online sales.
